I am looking for out of court solutions to my marriage. A legal trial or big divorce case is not something that I am looking forward. It would take too long and would just destroy our relationship even more so. In addition, with the kids involved in the divorce, the last thing that I would like to do is to make this process painful. Is there any hope for such a nice type of divorce? It sounds like it is impossible, but since my wife and I are both relatively stable people and we do not hate each other, I think it can work.

I am hoping that someone in this area has gone through this problem and process in the past and can shed some light on how the process works and whether or not it is possible to do this successfully. When it comes to divorce mediation, is there really a good result? I have heard that people can really make this work for each other if they are both committed and willing to do the work that is required of them. Is there anyone with any experience here?
