Having just purchased the third pick up truck in my adult life, I have FINALLY gotten smart and realized that the investment in a bed liner will pay dividends over and over again.

My first truck was used, so I really didn’t thing much about the bed or how it might wear. I was sure that it would last as long as the rest of the truck did. Boy, was I naive! Not only did it start rusting within a couple of years, but I actually had some gouges form after a particularly rough couple of jobs I had worked on.

My second truck purchase really didn’t fare much better. I spent no extra money on the truck bed and while it didn’t rust out like the first truck had, this one just got so beat up that I was literally embarrassed to go to a job site with it.

The great thing about that second vehicle was the fact it had a bull bar on the front. And those bars helped me out in a number of situations over the 5 and a half years I drove that truck around.

Now, on my newest truck, I was sure to get a quality bed liner installed as well as bull bars and a power winch for the front. I may drive this truck for the rest of my days!
