I have always wanted to go to Canada. I think that this is a longing that a lot of Americans have. We are basically taught that Canada is a bit better than here in every way. I don’t know is that’s true but I’d certainly like to explore the country as a visitor.

I’m trying to decide how I want to visit Canada. Here are some of my top Canada vacation ideas:

• A romantic getaway to Canada. This would be my ideal choice for visiting Canada. Winter or summer, I think it would be a great romantic vacation destination. Maybe it would even be good for a honeymoon?!
• A family trip to Canada. I enjoy traveling with my family. My family enjoys going to new destinations. For that reason I kind of think that a family vacation and Canada would go hand-in-hand.
• See Canada with friends. I really enjoy group trips with a handful of my friends. I bet there are some fun urban areas of Canada that would be great for this type of trip.
• Going there on my own. I don’t really mind traveling by myself. If I can’t get anyone else to go with me then I’ll probably eventually just plan a trip to Canada on my own.

We are taking a ten day vacation this summer. We couldn’t resist the deals available on the internet for cheap travel to places we’d always hope to visit. With the tax money we got in April, we are planning the trip of a life time. We will fly to Orlando where we have reservations to pick up Orlando rental cars. We will go to Sea World and the Magic Kingdom because we’d never been to either park. Next, we will visit Universal Studios and spend a day driving to the coast of Florida to see Cape Canaveral.

From Florida, we will board a cruise ship and boat to the resort town of Cancun. The three day cruise to Cancun will give us plenty of time to relax and enjoy the amenities the ship has to offer. From the shows to the fabulous restaurants, we are excited to experience the luxury of cruising.  Upon arrival in Cancun, we will go to the Cancun airport car rentals and secure a car to take us to the resort and spa. We got great room rates and discounts on spa services. We will get a sunrise massage out of the beach and sip cocktails watching the sun set over the crystal blue waters. We are so excited for our trip that we can’t resist packing our suitcases now and we aren’t leaving for another week. Bon Vogage!

So I decided to bypass the shiny neon lights and high-rise buildings for a comfy, cozy New England Inn for this year’s anniversary. I had to really think about the location of the bed and breakfast before I made my final location decision.

I wasn’t sure what kind of place my husband would want. Does he want to be a part of the exciting night life or would he want to be as secluded from civilization as possible? This is an important decision to make because the location of an inn could make or break our anniversary!

So, with that in mind, I figured he would like to be where all the action is, so perhaps he would enjoy a Massachusetts bed and breakfast in the busy city of Boston. However, I want to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing getaway, so I may enjoy a secluded New Hampshire bed and breakfast much better. Decisions, decisions.

One of the many great things about New England is that this area has so much to offer a couple like us. We are hikers, bikers, and nature enthusiasts, so we might stay at an inn where trails are nearby. I think I’ve found a place that will give us all of that in Boston, so that’s where I booked this anniversary trip, but now I know where I want to go for my birthday:  New Hampshire!
