Learning the Art of Airsoft

Many of us love the idea of running through the woods in camouflage gear, plotting against an opponent.  It is a phenomenal way to get outside and enjoy life while getting the exercise that your body needs.  If you are new to the sport of airsoft then you probably want to learn the basics before your first battle.  One thing that you need to understand is that competitors usually take the game pretty seriously, so it is best to be prepared to give it your all.  If you are not in great physical shape, it might be advisable to go for a few jogs to test your endurance level.  Because once you’re in it, there’s no getting out unless you’re hit.

However, there is a place for those who prefer a tactical attack but it is important to inform your team mates of your intentions.  One thing that may be frightening to a newcomer is how real the guns actually look.  Since they are modelled directly from real gun prototypes, they are strikingly similar with one obvious difference; instead of bullets, they shoot pellets.  Although these pellets are not harmful if the opponent is properly dressed, they can cause serious injury on someone who is not prepared or who is not wearing protective goggles.

In order to find the best gun for your needs, you need to check out kwa guns and look at the different features.  It might also help to research Tokyo marui guns, so you have a full understanding of different models. And after you learn the basics you are set to enjoy all the great aspects of this wonderful sport.

He’s so Dreamy

When I started looking for teen bedding for my growing girl, I was having problems finding something she would like. This was more than just me buying bedding for my daughter, this was me buying bedding for my daughter as a gift. While normally I could probably just buy her whatever and get away with it, in this case it had to be something she liked, otherwise it would be a bad gift.

One idea I had, however, was to go with unique personalized gifts. My thought was that since I couldn’t find any prints she would like, I would simply make up a print myself so that she would definitely like it. I did this by getting her personalized photo blankets with her favorite boy groups on them. She was into that “boy band” phase and, by getting her a blanket with her favorite singers’ photo on it,  I could combine her favorite thing with a gift that made sense for me as well.

The only problem I had is that my husband is not particularly fond of the idea of his daughter snuggling up with even photos of boys, but he was never a teenage girl, so he’s going to need to get over it.

Things I’ve Learned from My Grandfather

My grandfather has shared all sorts of wisdom with me over the years.  Here are a few things I’ve learned from my grandfather.

Surround yourself with beautiful things.  My grandfather had the most beautiful garden I’ve ever seen.  He had tons of rose bushes, a nice vegetable garden, and all sorts of other plants that I was too young to know the names for.  He did all the gardening himself, too — my grandfather was an expert gardener.  He knew all about rosebush care, orchid flower care, and vegetable care.  If you ever needed to know about phalaenopsis orchid care, he would be the one to ask.  And if you asked him about something really obscure, such as cymbidium care, he’d probably be one of the few people who wouldn’t look at you like you were crazy.

Always have a sense of humor.  When my mom was growing up, my grandfather often tended their neighbor’s garden for them, too.  One year, something really tall started growing in, so the neighbor asked my grandfather what it was.  "Corn," my grandfather replied.  "But I didn’t plant corn," the neighbor protested.  "Well, I ran out of room in my garden!" my grandfather said.

Always be the best at whatever you choose. When my grandfather was little, his father used to tell him, "I don’t care if you’re just a shoe-shine boy, you’re going to be the best shoe-shine boy there ever was."  My grandfather didn’t become a shoe-shine boy, but he did become one of the most feared and respected lawyers in his city.

There is a lot we can learn from our elders if we’re willing to listen!
