• Create a room of rest. Take an office and turn it into a really restful employee lounge. Fresh water with sliced oranges or cucumbers in it, a few super comfortable couches and the other little touches that you might see in a place like a day spa will make this a truly relaxing rest area.
• Install a couple of wall water fountains. Running water adds a true sense of peace to any space. Putting a few wall fountains in strategic locations throughout your place of business could be worth their cost.
• Hire a masseuse to come in monthly. Footing the bill for free 15-minute chair massages to the people who work for you is a great way to reduce stress in the office. Doing this just once-a-month could create real changes in your company.

Business owners should be looking out for their businesses right now by looking out for their employees. Reducing stress in the office is a key part of this.

Before I had kids I always dreamed of having a boat.  Later, when I started a family I put that dream on the back burner.  I made a promise to myself that when my family was grown and I was financially able I would purchase a boat and spent my later years sailing.  I did everything I was supposed to do and saved my income during my working years and eventually made some hefty investments.  Yet, now my stock is worth less than half of what it was and I am worried that I will not see my assets get back to where they were while I am still alive.

Well, I have good news and I have bad news. The good news is the boss just assigned me a major project at work. And when I say major, I mean it. This is a top account of ours, and it shows the boss really trusts me and values my judgment.

The bad news? It’s a lot of work. Seriously, this is easily the biggest project I’ve worked on to date. We’re talking at least 6 months of non-stop daily work with a lot of benchmarks along the way.

That’s why I’m considering finding some good online project management software. I need one with resource allocation and detailed project time tracking. That way, I can have a good handle on the project to make sure we’re giving it the daily attention it needs to be completed on time.

In many ways, my future at this company relies on this project. If I show my boss I’m capable of succeeding at such a big project, it could spell a promotion for me. On the other hand, if I botch this project, it could be a disaster. If I don’t get fired, the best thing that would happen is I would be stuck in my current position forever.

I work in the HR department of a medium sized software company.  We are trying to implement a customer rewards program.  We have a solid, well made product and I believe that a rewards program will be helpful in growing our number of repeat customers.

I think that a customer rewards program will get current customers more invested with our company.  It is also my hope that such a program will encourage potential customers to make their first purchase.  About six months ago, we implemented sales incentive programs for the employees in the sales department.  We have seen an increase in sales and employee satisfaction since then.  I am hoping that if a rewards program has positive results for our staff, it will do the same for our customers.

We are in the early planning stages for our customer rewards program.  I am in the process of interviewing some of our biggest clients to determine what perks and benefits will be the most meaningful to them.  We also want to implement a membership program along with the reward program.  In other words, in order to get the rewards, you must be a member.  Once we get all of the details worked out, I am confident that a rewards program will increase our number of repeat customers and encourage new customer growth.
