My Friend Who Thinks He’s a Redneck

I have a friend in town that I like to pick on because he is what I call a geeky redneck.  The boy is highly intelligent but does some of the most country activities.  He is a local firefighter and likes to fish a lot.  However, he has a degree in Science and is a big sci-fi geek.  I know as I have a copy of Season 2 of Doctor Who on my pc.

Of course, this guy has a pickup truck that he has purchased several truck accessories for.  The main way we identify his truck is by the jobox on the back of his truck.  There are other trucks with tool boxes but his stands out.  Also, he decided to get a truck liner for his truck.  He decided to go rhino when he got the liner.  Of course, I think that getting a truck liner is a good thing for those that want to use their truck for work and for show.  This guy is one of those guys.

He likes to play up the redneck image a lot but the boy is going to go places with his life.  He is already on the fast track to get on with a nuclear power facility in the area that requires a government clearance.  If you own a pimped out pickup truck, but can still get a government clearance, you’re not a redneck.

Truck Tool Boxes: See What They’re Made Of

Truck tool boxes such as tool totes, trailer tongue tool boxes or other truck storage units should be built to withstand both the items they carry and being carried around themselves. When choosing a durable truck tool box, there are a few important factors to consider if you want to make sure you’re getting the best bang for your hard-earned buck.

The tool box lid is an important component of the unit itself, and should ideally be built using more than one separate stiffener to maintain its durability. The full inner lid stiffener should completely cover the inside of the lid with a nice finish that looks clean and doesn’t compromise quality. The lid should also have a layer of rigid foam insulation for maximum strength.

Another important component to truck tool boxes is a multipurpose tool holder. Unlike the more flimsy, screwdriver rack such as the ones found in many department store truck tool boxes, a multipurpose tool holder should have a range of hole sizes to fit various tools. It should also be welded rather than just riveted to ensure years of service.

Having a durable molded tray inside your truck tool box is also a good feature for storage. With separate compartments, these trays are ideal for holding smaller items.

Finding a Good Houston Auto Repair Shop

Are you looking for a good Houston auto repair shop?  Here are some suggestions to make sure your car is in good hands with whomever you choose.

  1. Get recommendations from friends and family.  See where the people who know take their cars, and what experiences they’ve had with them.  For instance, get recommendations from your sister on where to get an oil change in Houston.
  2. Google.  When people have reason to be unhappy with their experiences, they often write about them online.  Google any foreign or domestic automotive repair shop before taking your car there, and make sure that there aren’t any really bad complaints about them!
  3. Ask questions.  Be sure to question the repair shop about what type or types of cars they specialize in, what types of warranties or guarantees they offer, how they handle complaints, and almost anything else you can think of.  Don’t be afraid to ask if you can speak with the mechanic, either.  Choosing someone to work on your car is an important decision; after all, your car is probably the second-biggest purchase you have ever made, and it’s up to you to protect that investment.

Choosing a Houston auto repair shop is an important decision, one that should be made carefully.  Getting recommendations, checking for prior complaints, and asking plenty of questions will help to ensure that you choose a mechanic who will take good care of your car.
