Learning to Draw Tribal Tattoos

I’m not a tattoo artist and I’m probably never going to be one. Nevertheless, I’ve gotten quite a reputation within my circle of friends as being someone who is great at drawing tribal tattoos. Many people are curious as to how I learned how to draw these tattoos since I don’t do tattooing for a living. The truth is that I was just bored one summer as a kid and spent a lot of time with a drawing book that year.

The reason that I started drawing tribal tattoo designs instead of something else (like fairy tattoos or dragon tattoos) was because the art book that I was learning to draw from was a book filled with tribal designs. I found them relatively easy to learn how to do so I started trying my hand at them. It turned out that I was pretty good.

If someone else wanted to learn what I learned, my first piece of advice would be to start with designs that are symmetrical. That’s because you can fold the paper in half, focus on just drawing one part of it and then trace the second half on the other side. This gives you double the practice on the same type of design which helps you to learn how to draw the images more quickly. At least, that’s what worked best for me!

Sleep Apnea: CPAP vs. BiPAP machines

Sleep apnea — which is where a person stops breathing periodically during sleep — can be a difficult condition to live with.  Not only is it scary for the person and their loved ones, but it can also cause the person to fall asleep unexpectedly and at inappropriate times, have problems performing during sex, and have difficulty remembering things or focusing on cognitive tasks.

Thankfully, there are options available for people with sleep apnea.  Both CPAP and BiPAP machines keep the sleeper’s airway open so that they don’t stop breathing during sleep.  This restores normal sleep patterns, enabling the person to get a normal night’s rest.

CPAP Machines

CPAP stands for continuous positive airway pressure.  Basically, the machine consists of a sleep apnea mask, an air tube, and a machine that keeps air flowing through the tube and into the patient’s airway.  This constant flow of air — which can be adjusted according to how bad the sleep apnea is — prevents the airway from closing, and therefore keeps the patient breathing all night long.

BiPAP Machines

BiPAP machines are a little different than CPAP machines.  Basically, instead of a continuous flow of air, the air flow alternates — one speed or pressure for when the patient is inhaling, and another for when the patient is exhaling.  This makes it a little easier for people to get used to.

Regardless of what treatment you decided to go with, it is important to be sure your sleep apnea is treated.  When you start feeling the benefits of getting an uninterrupted night’s rest every night, you’ll be glad you did!

How to Ruin a Happy Relationship

Most relationships seem to follow a typical pattern. Things are terrific and happy for the first few weeks or months. Then the first argument happens. There’s a cooling off period and then a renewed passion in the relationship. And from there on out, there are ups and downs.

However, things don’t actually have to be this way. You can opt to have a consistently happy relationship. The key is to make sure that you don’t do some basic silly things that ruin relationships, things which most people do.

The biggest relationship mistake people make is to let their own insecurities creep into the space between their heart and their lover’s heart. We often fear that we aren’t good enough, that we shouldn’t be as trusting as we are or that we don’t deserve to be happy. These fears are the root cause of most relationship downturns.

The littlest thing may set these fears off. For example, you may read a relationship book that suggests a sign that your spouse doesn’t care about you that much. Books on relationships are notorious for starting relationship problems but it’s the reader of the book that’s the problem. They want to read something that confirms their insecurities.

Spend some time each day reflecting on what’s really going on with you. If you’re angry at your lover, ask yourself if it’s because you’re scared of something. Deal with your own insecurities before confronting your partner and you may find that having a happy relationship is easier than you thought.

Methods of Choosing a Tampa Hair Salon

Let’s say that you’ve just moved to the Tampa area. You’ll want to find a few things as soon as you get there including an apartment, a job and a group of friends. You’ll also want to find a hair stylist who you can trust to treat your hair right. But how do you find that person? It’s not as easy as going through an agency like you would with an apartment or scanning the classifieds as you might for a job.

Here are some common methods of choosing a Tampa Hair Salon:

  • Find one in your neighborhood. Narrow your search to a South Tampa Hair Salon or a University Square Hair Salon in order to make a decision.
  • Ask for recommendations from people that have great hair. Love the look of the cashier at the corner store? Ask her where she goes to get it done.
  • Go with a name people know such as the Tribeca Salon. Names that keep coming up again and again are names to trust.
  • Trial and error. If you don’t mind playing around with your hair a bit, you can always just test a few places out in the first year that you’re in Tampa and see if there’s one that you like best.

You need to have a good stylist that you can count on. It’s right up there with a dentist, a pharmacist and a person to hang out with on the list of things to find as soon as you relocate. Put in the effort before it becomes a dire necessity!
